Cooking should be a joy and not a chore.  Over the years I have learned to cook the foods my family loves best and more recently I have learned to customize these with ingredients I have on hand, instead of obsessively sticking to a recipe.  As a result, I have a newly found confidence in my ability to create a meal that is fun, flavorful and nutritious.  And possibly not to be repeated.  That’s what straying from a recipe will do!
